what we do
The Centre is all about creating strong relationships with students and sharing our core values with them. The Centre reaches out to students in the area of Chiang Mai University and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Campus. We offer them a quality and affordable conversational English program. We work hard to generate an atmosphere that allows us to freely share about what is most important to our lives.
To build a fun community atmosphere, we host events and activities both inside and outside The Centre. Twice a year we host an English Camp for our students, which provides an unique and fun learning experience.
Teaching English
We offer daily non-formal education classes (mainly English language classes) for Thai university students. These classes are typically 20 one-hour lessons for 1-7 students, ranging in length from 5-7 weeks, depending on how often they study each week. You will have an opportunity to observe a staff member teaching before you get your own classes. Culturally there is a strong connection between student and instructor. This will allow you to develop a unique relationship with your students.

English Corner
We organize a weekly conversational based English class on the campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna. The class is meant to assist the English for International Communications faculty giving the students the opportunity to practice listening and speaking with native English speakers. We also use this opportunity to invite students to The Centre events and tell them about our learning opportunities.
Wednesday Nights
Wednesday night is our biggest weekly event. We offer a free dinner, fun games, a guest speaker and usually a theme for the night. Students can learn culture and create deeper relationships with other students and the teachers in a fun and relaxed environment.
Friday Nights
Our Friday night event is more relaxed. The time spent with the students could be over an activity such as cooking or art. There are also chances for just spending time together playing a game or watching a movie. The goal is to provide a safe space for students to be themselves and get to know the teachers.
Out and About
During the course of your stay you may have opportunities to go on outings with the students around the Chiang Mai Area, for the purpose of connecting with your students in new ways.
